Eastern Bluebird Nest Box (wood)

This safe, comfortable, and durable Eastern Bluebird nest box features extra ventilation, plate steel entrance hole protector, and a double roof consisting of a wooden inner roof covered by a Hardie siding cement fiber outer roof. The nest box has excellent thermal characteristics to protect nestlings during extremely hot weather. The cement fiber outer roof adds years to the useful life of the nest box as well as reducing nesting cavity temperatures.

Enhanced Gilbertson Style Eastern Bluebird Nest Box

This enhanced Gilbertson style Eastern Bluebird nest is a favorite of bluebirds and features a 4" diameter PVC nesting chamber. English Sparrows prefer a lot of headroom to build their messy high dome-shaped nests and tend to avoid Gilbertson nest boxes because they have almost no headroom. Bluebirds don't mind the lack of head room and often build a complete nest in Gilbertsons in one hour. The nest building process in larger wood nest boxes can take several days.
